Running Heavy, Running Light, Running Aimless, Running with the end in mind?

After starting work for me, I have not had the time to go for a good jog in the early morning, which I tend to do while I am still studying. Finally I had the opprtunity to do that just this recent monday. The route was the same, to the beach, the timing was the same, the shoes were the same, the attire was the same, but what was different now was I carried along with me more things to run.
Normally I will only bring a small pouch, where I place my HP, some money, ezlink card and house keys.

This time round, I wanted to spent more time at the beach, to read some stuff and since I just got my MP3 player not long, thought running with some music would be great as well! Hence more stuff to carry along to run.

Initially I thought it wont make much of a difference, but it actually did. I wanted many times to 'throw' the things which I was holding on to away, as it did slow down my running pace as well as cause a hinderance. However I know I cannot throw away. But then the funny thing was when I reach the beach, I felt I actually did not really need to use the book, or wanted to read it. Then I felt so dumb to have brought it all the way. So I told myself I have to read it, to make the best of me bringing it all the way there.
You must be wondering why I shared this simple experience with you all. The book and things which I carried along with me can be seen as the many things in our journey in life, which we have to attend to, datelines and responsibilities that we have to meet up with.

1.There will be times when we can actually choose not to carry with us such a big load, maybe not get ourselves be involved in so many things and get all tied up. I can always choose to carry the usual small pouch! So what then have you chosen?

2. We might have taken up the Load, then we cant choose now to 'throw' it away just half way, although it would not be easy then to carry it through, but I believe it is through this experience where we can learn much from. So is there some BIG things that we are holding on to now, hoping to 'throw' them away? Take heart and press on for you might not know what lies ahead, a wonderful lesson that is for you to learn and experience.

3. Having reach the destination, many times after carry that load so far and so long, we might just get so tired out by it that we miss the BIG picture of why in the first place we had to go through so much. It is at this time where we have to finish up the last bit to be able to appreciate the things that we have done. Or to put it another way, to experience the fruits of your labour. Just like how can I not read the book after I had brought it all the way there? So have there been something that have got you so tired and caught up in that you miss the BIG picture of why you have gone through so much? Take a step back to think and look and appreciate the fruits of your labour!

It is always interesting how this life journey for each one of us can be so different, yet so unique and special to us all!

THE GRADUATING BATCH OF SEC 4s!
Although I only went teach in Junyuan for less then half a year, or a few months only, all I can say is that I enjoyed teaching the Sec 4 classes. Well definitely there will be times when you have 'difficult to handle' cases, but on the whole, they are a great bunch of student!
I am sure to miss them, especially the unique class of 4E3, and all the rest of the students whom I had chance to know better and talk to! Enjoy the few Pic which I took!

Even as you are reading this post, and for all out there who might be going through difficult times, wanted to leave with you a story to encourage you to not give up in your studies or in the circumstances that you are facing, and keep pressing on!
No one effort that you put in will be in vain!
I am sure just just like the men who made every effort to throw the starfish back into the sea, your every effort will make a differnce to your results or the hopeless problem can be solved by first taking a step to begain working on them!

THE STARFISH STORY
Once a man was walking along a beach. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Off in the distance he could see a person going back and forth between the surf's edge and and the beach. Back and forth this person went. As the man approached he could see that there were hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand as the result of the natural action of the tide.
The man was stuck by the the apparent futility of the task. There were far too many starfish. Many of them were sure to perish. As he approached the person continued the task of picking up starfish one by one and throwing them into the surf.
As he came up to the person he said, "You must be crazy. There are thousands of miles of beach covered with starfish. You can't possibly make a difference." The person looked at the man. He then stooped down and pick up one more starfish and threw it back into the ocean. He turned back
to the man and said, "It sure made a difference to that one!"

Pictures definitely speaks a thousand words!
It brings back memories of different kind at the different stages of my life! From the cute and loveable baby me, to the "tutu" and super "Kuai" primary school me. As I started to find out and realised more about myself... wanted more freedom.. then came the TAG OF WAR that I constantly face with my parents..
This is the stage which fits in to what spidermen said "With great power comes great responsibility" It was also during my secondary school years where I knew I enjoyed myself much! Doing all the crazy things, the funny things, the things you will never expect you will do. What more when you put all girls together.. they can get really crazy!
Wohoo.. then we move on to the JC years where sparks start to fly and eyes start to look BIG BIG around.. Haha.. It is also this years where I was rather inolved in sch stuff.. hence neglacted my studies in a way....
So Finally in the enducation laddle, I made my way to NUS and it was here that I enjoyed most and I believe it was here where my life changed as well. (If you think I found my life partner here, then sad to say no.. haha... but I did find something much better then that! Its for me to know and you to find out!)
I am back to school now again, but then in a different way... not the student but as a teacher now..

So Seat Back enjoy the footprints of my life!
