FIRST TREAT TO FAMILY!
Even after I started work already for close to half a year, I have not given my family a treat from what I earn. To start off the year, I decided to bless my family and definitely not forgetting my dear grandmother who is one that is so close to me. We had a good time tucking in to the good food at the famous Westlake eating place. Off couse we wont miss out the mouth watering "Kong Ba Pao". Haha!
My grandmother is someone who is very special to me, and finally I have the opportunity to just appreciate her back in return with the little I have, on the so much she have given to me. She was the one who took care of me while I was in my younger years. I definitely spent more time with her as compared to my dad or mom between the age of 3-5 years old as I stayed at my grandmother's place during the weekdays and was only home on weekends. I will always remember, she was the one who smuggled the milk bottle to me during the night, while my aunt was strongly against it, as I was already quiet old then, about 4 years old. Haha.. to think back, it was really funny and strange to know I was still using the milk bottle at such an old age.
* woops age old secret is out now*
This post is a tribute to my loving and full of joy grandmother, who never fails to brighten up my day!!

BEAUTY IN EVERY ONE
DO YOU SEE IT? OR YOU DENY IT?

When this advertistment was on the TV and when I first saw it, it immediately caught my attention. I felt I could connect with what the advertistment was saying and trying to bring across almost immediately! It was very much like me in the past, where I did not think I was good looking enough. I did not feel I was pretty or beautiful! I believe there are many girls out there who also feels the same way and are then placeing their significant of beauty into very wrong things and following what the world defines as BEAUTY: Slim, spotless face, blond hair, dressing in expensive clothes and thick make ups. The list can go on, but that definitely is not the thing or maybe so the only thing that defines beauty.

Like what the advertistment writes, every girl deserve to feel good about herself and to know that she is beautiful. To the girls out there, it is not about how you look, what is your appearance, but most importantly, it is who you are, your character and the you inside that makes you beautiful!

What do you see?
Some would have first notice the big words of " Staff room" in the background and guess this was taken in the staff room and all that are in the picture are teachers.
Yeh another might just say, well just some people gethering and wanting to take a picture. Which definitely is also not very wrong.
However I guess many might not have realised we are trying to dipic the traffic light: RED, ORANGE and GREEN! Haha yeh that day happen we all came in these colors and hence the male teacher suggested we took a picture like this! Interesting correct?
Anyway something that I thught about even through trying to ask you all what you see through the picture, I realised there can be many different answer and perception to just one simple picture.
Indeed many a times it is due to such cases, where misunderstanding comes about, or conflict of idess sets in, as each would want to have their own say in the matter. Well unless some choose to give in, or are willing to follow the flow, if not to be the one standing up to clear the misunderstanding, otherwise issues will not be solved.
However people can also be rather narrow minded, just like only trying to focus on what really can be seen in the picture and not taking further that what it is. In certain matters, we might just need to be willing to adapt or even appreciate the views of others and not so quickly to purpose and force your idea upon others.
Lets be a listening ear for once and an observer first before we say or do anything.

Appreciated and Blessed

It was indeed a wonderful though short time at my Ex students class chalet. Never really did expect them to invite me, since I dont really know everyone and did not really offically teach their class, but just with that few students whom I know and kept in contact with, they die die want me to come! Haha.. If not as the chinese saying goes: Hou Guo Bu Kan Se Xiang!

Although I was rather tired that day, but choose to still make a trip down and indeed was greatly blessed just by the students themselves. They are a lovely bunch of kids I can say, and most are well mannered and this was definitely my first time attending a chalet as a teacher position! Haha... Check out the cool pictures and maybe you can try spotting my look alike and comment if we REALLY look alike. The students keep saying YES! Which I dont feel so!

What amazes me was that many of the students were so happy to see me being able to come and just with my presense there they appreciated it lots. It is also a great joy on my part to see them growing and I seeing a life being blessed just by the simple things I did, hence I was blessed in return by the wonderful atmosphere they provided as well as the great food (not forgetting the great cooks) Anyway I have been working with some youths as well before I become a teacher and today I was touched as one of them readily agreed to buy me a Nelgene bottle, which I always wanted, as a blessing for me! Thanks so much once again.

Not sure if you all seen this movie called "Pass it on". It is a very heartwarming show which basically talks about a young boy who just have this heart to help the poor and he believes that as you bless one person, then that person, becaused he has been blessed, will go on to bless another and then it will produce a chain effect. I felt that this is so true and more so when I experience this personally myself yesterday and today!

So have you been a blessing to others before? If not then lets start being a blessing to others for you will be blessed back in return as well!

CCA FAIR!

It was the school annual CCA fair day. Well the quiet school came to live early on a wet saturday morning. It was rather messy initially, with so many people all around the stalls, but it was definitely wonderful to see the students all proud of their invidual CCA and it was a time for them to show case what they have.

However in the mist of all the laughter and fun, I cant help but see and hear some who just are trying to promote their CCA, but yet dont really seem to enjoy being part of it. Something like I have to come because I am in it and cant change, no choice kind of response.

It made me wonder then why in the first place did you choose to join this CCA?Some say they did not know that the CCA will be in such a way that they do not like it, if not too tough, if not dont like the company, if not then very boring. Or maybe other kinds of CCA attracted them after that.

I guess in life most of the time, we dont always get the things we want. Maybe some parts of certain things but definitely not everything most of the time. However I believe at the end of it, it is the the attitude that is being brought through adapting to things, working things through, that will shape your character and develope the YOU! Does it mean that each time we face a problem, something not in favour of us or just not to our liking that we change how things are like or give up on them? Actually it is not about how things suits me or is this the things I want, but more so on how we are able to go through the not so nice things in life that will inturn shape and mold us.

Bye 2006.. Welcome 2007!

It was a wonderful year end count down as I headed towards EXPO for the RETRO NIGHT! Check out the pictures where me and my friends really came in all sorts of patten.. especially the bombastic hair.. Cant stop laughing!

How did you end your year? What then is your plans and new year resolution?

For me I ended my year with a Bang! Haha.. it was a super count down party that I went for and even as I look back on my 2006, I definitely did accomplished some amazing things. Like running a 21km SCM, as well as the 10km Army Half marathon, moving form a student to an employer, a whole new change of environment.
What I plan for the coming year is to be able to grow more in my character and even learn the ropes to be a better teacher. I would also hope to accomplish more exciting and challenging task such as climbing Mt Kinabalu, or doing some rock climbing. Haha...

Lets start the year with the focus in mind!
