A bunch of Ex Sec 4E3 students came over to my house on Saturday! Initially they asked me if my house was open for visit and I thought it was only a few of them. Haha... never did I expect such a big crowd! However it was just a great time, getting them to help me clear up my snacks and also my parents were suprise to see so many of them as well. Can you imagine it, I have to exchange back 48 oranges! Haha...

This class has always been a special class and a class of great people! I am very glad to know these wonderful students even in my shot and not so long stay in Junyuan Sec! Do hope that many of us will continue to keep in touch as we will never know the next TV star or model might just be one of you people!

Family's reunion and CNY visiting!

Never knew that going for Chinese New Year visiting can be so tiring! I practically went full 3 days of visiting from house to house, with my family for the first two days and friends on the last day! Hence when I went back to school today, woh! it was indeed a challenge! Anyway just to share with some of you all my CNY happenings through the pictures! It was a great time being able to once again come together as a family, old young, big small, all gathered together having reunion dinner and just catching up with one another!

Check out the interesting idea my aunty came up with, by asking the people in the family to take pictures together according to animal year in which they were born in! Yup and this year it is my year, the year of the PIG! So you can now guess how old I am... Shhhhhhh... Age to a lady is secret! Haha... Enjoy the pictures!

Valentime Day (Part 3)
As I was saying in the last series, towards the end of year 1, someone else caught my eyes! This time it is one of my classmates. I only got to know him after the first 3 months as he changed class. Apparently he is rather well know by quiet a few people in TJ, since he used to be from Anglican High and TJ is always filled with AHS students!

We always joke with each other in class, as I tend to get "swan" by my class guys, also not sure why. Anyway he is the class chair person and I am the class treasure, hence we do work together in handeling the class matters. Guess we see each other as good buddies and I think I only started to have some good feelings for him towards the end of the year where my house committee people started to put me and him together. Looking back, I think it was very much due to the influence of my friends and some of my classmates that slowly the more I hear them put us together, the more I think yah maybe he likes me and I like him. Haha.. so one lesson learnt here, dont anyhow swan your friends especially when you also not sure if they like each other.

I also did not do well in my promotional exams during year 1, hence I had to take a retest slightly before the new year of school starts to see if I can still take the subject. With that, I was given more assignment and work to complete. Hence he was rather good in maths, and offered to help me out. Therefore we came back during the school holidays to school and he helped me out with my work. Yeh and unfortunately, we were caught my our friends again, and hence this added on to the misconception that we might be together.

This whole "swanning" matter continued over to the new year and soon after we found that we talked on the phone with each other almost every other day and initially we talked about school stuff, and soon it moved on more to sharing about ourselves. Remembered one time when I did not come to school, he actually called me up to find out what happen and soon after he also fall ill and did not come to school, I also naturally called him up to check out how he was.

Actually I also do not know when and how, I guess we both thought we like each other, but it is because of the prolong "swanning" and speculating by my classmates and friends, it started to take a negative effect on me. I started to pull back and did not want to talk with him anymore, as I did not want my friends to keep saying. just dont like it. So also dont know how, we started to talk less, and then there was also this period of awarkness each time we meet.
However at the end of year 2 we still every good friends and friends who still love to joke with one another! Was that Puppy love? I think so!

Valentime Day Special (Part2)

As I graduated from Sec4, I also stopped my tuition lesson, hence with that, only knowing his home number, I also reduced the frequency of calling up this friend of mine. Cant sms like what we do now! Haha!

With that, we also started to loose contact with each other especially so since we each went to different JC. Even as I stepped into JC, knowing many more new faces, getting to know more new friends, I naturally forgotten about this guy.

As usual with all the orientation and fun we had in our first 3 months of JC, naturally there will be someone whom we might be attracted to. Yup and you are right, my eyes moved on to another guy, who is my orientation group leader then. Initially I was only good friends with him, and it was actually my another good female friend who likes him and also he likes her. Hence I was something like the middle women, haha, hearing form them their story and especially from my girl friend about how much she likes him and the things they talked through. But sadly, this girl friend of mine only was staying in JC for a while, as her whole family will be migrating to Canada soon. Hence the parting was difficult, sad and pain for both of them. Although shortly after she left they still do keep in contact, but both know that it would not be possible to keep the relationship going.

Not long after, I realised I started to like this senior of mine as well. Maybe the lesson learnt from here is never to be middle women or men, as you might unknowingly fall for that person as well. Guess after my girl friend left, we spent more time talking on the phone, and sharing with each other how we felt. However sad to say, I did not manage to win the heart of this guy over, as he still could not forget my friend. Looking back, it seems like I was rather dumb in the things I did, said and thought! Haha! Yup those were the days!

Other things did happen after that, but I still kept in contact with this senior of mine till after he graduated and was in army. There was this once where I actually even went to his house to get some piano scores from him. And guess what, his piano skills were really good as I sat beside him and he played many pieces for me! I was indeed impressed! Haha! He actually entered university as well and was in the same corhort as me as he got a scholarship from the army and hence his 2 years service term was distrupted. He even was in the same faculty and lecture group as me! Cant believe it right! Haha... I remembered when I told this to another of my Ex JC mates, she actually told me maybe we can be together now. However I guess we each went about different ways and he was to me then only as a friend.

The interesting things about JC life has not ended with just the leaving of my senior then... soon even before my senior left, someone else caught my attention.... stay tune

HAPPY VALENTIME DAY!

This is the special V-day edition of my blog post! Haha.. sit back and read! Things you never know will be revealed soon....

My first experience of having interest with a guy was during my Secondary school days. Haha.. it is strange as I was from a girl's school. Yup got to know this guy through my tuition group. Well we started off being very good friends, and during those times no Hp or pagers yet, so we normally use the traditional phone method to talk. He was just in my neighbour school, but we never really did meet up until on sun which was my tuition day. Anyway I was still young then, guess only Sec 2 or 3 only! Maybe you can say it is the "ri jiu chang shen" kind of feeling, hence over time we had some liking for each other. However I remembered nothing drama happened, we did not officially went steady at all, maybe because both of us were rather focus on our studies then, quiet listen to parents one, and also I was so busy with netball trainings 3 times a week, that work dont even seem to have time already, what more think about all these. Haha..

I remembered one thing which I thought to be rather significant then was the time he asked me out after school to go and get my Birthday present for me. He knew I like the elmo stuff toy from Seasame Street and hence we made a special arrangement to go get it together. I remembered how I tried to hide myself from my friends spotting me with him then, like so ma lu lah I thought! Haha! But unfortunately the more you try to hide, normally will always be spotted, especially so since I went to somewhere so common where most of my friends would hang out. Haha! Hence it spark of some questions and teasing among my friends in school for some time after that! Ahh...

Hence this is the end of the first part of the special V-day edition of my blog post.. Stay tune for more exciting and juicy news of who then is the second person that caught my eyes....

Coffee Tea or Me?

Dont you think this is an interseting Picture? It was taken during the breakfast where I had with the teachers on the last day of the Sec2 camp.

If you look closely, even the milk tea which we ordered had all different colors. What is short to this picture to make it perfect is to place them in their accending tones.. Haha apparently there are 3 teas and 2 kopi in the mist, but then all ended up in different color!

One thing that stood out from this was that it speaks of so clearly that each of us, although working together, but yet have different perference in our taste of drinks. Even just a simple tea, you can have it sweeter, or thicker, or with milk or without milk. Just from one simple thing you can come up with so many different variety.

Similarly in life, just a small matter can spark off much disharmony or just from a small increase in grades or pay can cause a great joy to fill our hearts! Lets us not miss out the little things in our lives that so often slip our eyes and always trying to do BIG things to be somebody.

Let's take a moment now to pounder of the little things that have been happening in our lives and how have we responded to them?

Make their Day!

Check out what we did in school! Woh I am indeed inpress at the effort some of the teachers put in to make such an eye catching and beautiful piece of Art work. It is posted just along the corridor of the teacher's staff room. This is together with many other different posters. I will touch on them later.

Back to this piece of ART work, well it tells us of the various ways to make the day of the student! Maybe it can be something you can use and put that into your own context be it at work, at school or even at home, where you can start making the day of your collegues, classmates, friends and family members! Lets add a smile to their faces for the day! Action speeks a thousand words!

Operation LIVE!

I believe it must have been a wonderful and enjoyable camp especially for the participants who went for it, the Sec 2s of my school. Anyway it was some sort of a military style kind of camp, although I sense it might be tough at times, but can see the students did learn much on discipline and also listening to instructions.

I went down as an overseeing teacher as well as a few other teachers and we too had our share of fun! Haha.. I never did get such chance to talk to my collegue Vannan and Chen Lan and never knew they were so funny and jokable! It was a good time for me just to know them better and also to be able to see the students outside classroom and school.

The students actually do behave very differently, especially for some, compared to back in class. I was suprised at some candidates who actually manage to get the best platoon medal and in fact are actually those who tend to disturbe the teacher's lesson during class time! Now you know what camp can do to a person! Haha.. Tame them down, or maybe it is just something that the student feels more comfortable in and hence is able to display his capabilities and to show case the talent he/she has which is not able to be natured in classroom or school settings. I also believe form most of them, they might also take on their responsibilities better here as they know they can be someone in the platoon.

I believe that there is a talent in every child, like it is said in the bible that each and every one is made special by our Father in Heaven in His own unique way! It is a matter of when and where we are placed and the situation and environment which will then allow us to showcase the gift and talents which we have! Hence no one is too small or too weak to change and impact someone's live in a postive way and also to contribute in BIG or small ways, as long as you are willing!
