Running Heavy, Running Light, Running Aimless, Running with the end in mind?

After starting work for me, I have not had the time to go for a good jog in the early morning, which I tend to do while I am still studying. Finally I had the opprtunity to do that just this recent monday. The route was the same, to the beach, the timing was the same, the shoes were the same, the attire was the same, but what was different now was I carried along with me more things to run.
Normally I will only bring a small pouch, where I place my HP, some money, ezlink card and house keys.

This time round, I wanted to spent more time at the beach, to read some stuff and since I just got my MP3 player not long, thought running with some music would be great as well! Hence more stuff to carry along to run.

Initially I thought it wont make much of a difference, but it actually did. I wanted many times to 'throw' the things which I was holding on to away, as it did slow down my running pace as well as cause a hinderance. However I know I cannot throw away. But then the funny thing was when I reach the beach, I felt I actually did not really need to use the book, or wanted to read it. Then I felt so dumb to have brought it all the way. So I told myself I have to read it, to make the best of me bringing it all the way there.
You must be wondering why I shared this simple experience with you all. The book and things which I carried along with me can be seen as the many things in our journey in life, which we have to attend to, datelines and responsibilities that we have to meet up with.

1.There will be times when we can actually choose not to carry with us such a big load, maybe not get ourselves be involved in so many things and get all tied up. I can always choose to carry the usual small pouch! So what then have you chosen?

2. We might have taken up the Load, then we cant choose now to 'throw' it away just half way, although it would not be easy then to carry it through, but I believe it is through this experience where we can learn much from. So is there some BIG things that we are holding on to now, hoping to 'throw' them away? Take heart and press on for you might not know what lies ahead, a wonderful lesson that is for you to learn and experience.

3. Having reach the destination, many times after carry that load so far and so long, we might just get so tired out by it that we miss the BIG picture of why in the first place we had to go through so much. It is at this time where we have to finish up the last bit to be able to appreciate the things that we have done. Or to put it another way, to experience the fruits of your labour. Just like how can I not read the book after I had brought it all the way there? So have there been something that have got you so tired and caught up in that you miss the BIG picture of why you have gone through so much? Take a step back to think and look and appreciate the fruits of your labour!

It is always interesting how this life journey for each one of us can be so different, yet so unique and special to us all!
