"Yu Shen" On the 7th day of Chinese New Year!
The sweet and pretty nieces of mine!The last day (15th day) of CNY just passed last Sun and my family and I gathered over dinner for a cosy steamboat with a different style, Japanese Curry soup base! Was my sisters great idea. It tasted not bad after all! My dad opened a bottle of wine and made us drink, saying it was only 6% of alcohol as it was a fruit wine. However it almost "killed" me! Haha.. so I guess I cant really take wine after all, if not have to train up!
However this was the first Chinese New year after 5 years that my family get to celebrate it with my brother around in S'pore. I am really glad and happy for this great time we had together! Although I can say I am not as close as before to my brother, but it is always something different when the entire family come together! It is also through this season where I have come to recognise and appreciate what family is all about. Be it immediate to my extended family. I am more and more thankful for having such a wonderful family, even through the flaws and misunderstand, the good and bad moments. Come to it all, we are still a family and that cant be change, hence we need to come and work things out together and also to learn to accept and adapt to each other.
