Leaving on a Jet Plane

The Children Unite! Guess many have not known, my brother came back to Singapore for a 6 weeks for his attachment and have already gone back to London to complete his 5 years of studies for Medicine. He wont be back so soon, maybe about 1.5 years time.
The sad thing is I am not able to attend his graduation cermony over in London as I dont think it would be possible for me to take leave away from school! So sad! I realised I do miss him after he left and also exceptionally wanted to spent more time with him near those days before he is leaving.
I recognise that this is a rather strange way people normally response. When someone is around we tend to take that person for granted. However when they are absent, then we start to appreciate them and also we will start to miss their presence.
Lets take time to really appreciate those close to us and those who are important in our lives. Lets not wait till something happen, or they are away before we regret not spending enough time, or not saying those special words to them!
